Muffins and Donuts
Prior to moving to Pittsburgh, I had real concern about how I would readjust to the gluten free community. I had gotten used to my usual stops in Rochester. Wegmans had my baking needs, the co-op had my special treats, and the Owl House was my regular grilled cheese stop and hang out when there was a special occasion.
It didn’t actually take too much effort to find my new outlets. Giant...

Earl Grey
Over this past week I have been planning my earl grey shoot. With some encouragement, I have found that I need to start making more detailed plans for my photographs, otherwise I just try to throw things together as ideas come to my head.
It has been a big help, although I still feel like I haven’t quite gotten in a comfortable position with my shooting since moving. I shouldn’t...

March 31
Hello. Happy Easter. What did you do today?
This morning me and love went to church, and then to lunch.
This afternoon I mixed up a batch of my mom’s peanut butter candy.
Last night I signed up for Society 6. I’ve put up a couple 35mm images hoping that someone might be interested in getting prints. I can put up any up on request, of course. Take a look, and share with...

Projects
Its been one of those strange weeks where I’ve been questioning my whole life. What am I doing? Where am I going? Things like that.
I’ve put myself in a position where I need to make hard job/career choices, and I’m struggling with what I want to do. Where do I go, what do I do, to reach people? I feel like I’m floating in space, and planets sometimes pass by, but I...

September
September is here, and already on it’s way out. I was disappointed that summer is ending, but then I remembered pumpkin and cinnamon. Bill and I eat together a lot, and in the past couple weeks we’ve tried a couple new dinner treats. We don’t claim to be the best cooks, or even very good, but we’re happy to experiment and learn (mostly I learn from watching Bill cook).

Wedding Weekend + Nikon D700
I’ve been doing some test shots tonight with a Nikon D700. I can’t believe how clear my images are and how quickly the shutter responds. Here’s some soup Bill made for me tonight.
(notice that this is a detail shot of the same photo at 100%)
Last week I got in touch with a local photographer named Joe Appel. I was reaching out in the dark a little, just trying to find...

June, July, August + Jared and Wan Shan
It’s been quite a full summer. I graduated, moved to Pittsburgh, got a job at a bakery, and lastly, shot a couple weddings. The weddings were the most recent and exciting. I shot two a week apart, one for an old friend, and the other for a close cousin. They were beautiful. There’s just nothing quite like weddings. You sweat and shake and you’re excited and anxious. And...
